![]() ![]() I'd greatly appreciate a simple answer on this so I can stop worrying. Is this convoluted chain of reasoning right, or is there something I'm missing somewhere? So, looking at Mlvls for various areas, if I take a crystal sword found in most areas of A4 and 5 normal, larzuk should socket it with 4 sockets. Supposedly, the max sockets is 4 for Ilvls 25-40, and the socket quest gives you max sockets for that item type. However, the max sockets it will have is limited by its Ilvl, which is equal to the Mlvl of the dropping monster as far as I can tell. Socket recipe however gives you a random amount of sockets up tot he maximum possible for that item type/level. Since a cow crystal sword has the correct level to get 4 sockets larzuk will always give you 4 sockets. If you get a crystal sword from the normal cow level then it will get 4 sockets from laz. socket quest gives maximum number of sockets possible for white item. Supposedly, a crystal sword can have 1-6 sockets. You need to make sure the crystal sword has the right item level to get 4 socks from laz. I've snooped around in various places, and I think I know how to create one, but I want to check to make sure I'm not going horribly wrong before I try it. Given that spirit uses low level runes, it seems like a great idea for a no-twink build. I was looking around various places for good, easy to get items for non-twinked characters, and several people have suggested getting a 4os crystal sword and putting spirit in it. I've just recently made my first foray into the new ladder, and thus have no gear to give my new sorceress. Set Items, Rare Items, Unique Items, and Crafted Items add 1 Socket (1 Socket Max).Mlvls, Ilvls, and creating a 4 socket crystal sword. Console Discussion KriticalKush-1990 October 4, 2021, 3:32am 1 So guys if I get a crystal sword act 4 normal difficulty is Larzuk going to give me 4 sockets or 3 MrJ2006-1210 October 4, 2021, 4:44am 2 3 sockets. Magic Items will receive 1 or 2 Sockets with probability of either assuming that they are possible given the rules for normal. Use ilvl > 40 if you want the inherent maximum sockets in general. NOTE: Because of the dependency on ilvl, your item may get fewer sockets than the inherent maximum ('Sockets') which is listed on the pages, if the ilvl is not sufficiently high. Again, only base item, item type and ilvl matter. Ethereal does not affect the outcome either. It makes no difference if the item is low (Cracked, Crude, Damaged, Low Quality), normal or high quality (Superior). The latter, which is often referred to as the 'ilvl', is determined by the source that dropped the item (monster's level if dropped from a monster). Larzuk adds the maximum number of sockets to regular items, based on: Base Item, Item Type, and item's (creation) level. Specifically, it does not matter in which difficulty the quest reward is used. Item Sockets By ilvl Horadric Cube Recipes The Horadric Cube has many recipes which allow you to add Sockets to an item, following specific rules to determine the resulting number. You can only add Sockets to items that allow Sockets. As you can see in the table under 'Item Sockets by ilvl', these items receive 4 Sockets from Larzuk. You cannot use the Add Socket Quest reward on Socketed Items. got the first one a couple of hours ago, used up my two available socket quests on shields, so it ended up taking me four tries in the cube to get 4os Aya-1253 September 28, 2021, 3:53am 9 If it makes you feel any better, I used one of the two Sol runes I’ve found so far to try to make Insight in a spear. Colossus Voulge - 3 sockets ilvl 26-40 - i.e Dropped by monsters with mlvl 26-40. By the time you get to around the Jail level in nightmare (area level 41 - in nm and hell monster level = area level) everything is already ilvl 41+ anyway so nm and hell items always get the max number of sockets and that's why people always think they get the max.Īct V: Quest 1: Siege on Harrogath (Add Sockets) ilvl 1-25 - i.e Dropped by monsters with mlvl 1-25. The reason for this is because ilvl 28 would be high enough for items to spawn as 4 sockets, but Blizzard hard programmed the maximum number of sockets on dropped items in normal to 3, nightmare is 4 and hell is 6. Long Swords, Broad Swords and a large number of other items like Polearms and Body Armours etcĬrystal Sword gets 3 sockets at ilvl 1-25, 4 sockets at ilvl 26-40 and 6 sockets at ilvl 41+Ĭows in normal are level 28 to 31, just be careful because there a small amount of monsters in act 5 normal above level 41. Yes it will get 4 sockets if the cow level was in normal, quality of spawned items doesn't effect ilvl. so if i socket a cs from crystalline passage, will it be 4 socket? will larzuk socket it with 4 socket and make it normal?Įdit: the socket of larzuk depends on the area level of the place where i found it. How do you get a 4 socket Shield in Diablo 2 However, a white crystal sword from normal cows has an item level that fits in the range of 26-40 where it. I have a low quality crystal sword, i found on cow level.
